A useful transport quote starts with the goods and both addresses. Compare truck hire, part-load freight and additional handling on the same basis before you confirm a shipment.
Full truck, part load or a combined movement?
For full truck load (FTL), the enquiry is for a dedicated vehicle suited to your consignment. A part truck load (PTL) enquiry is for shared vehicle space, subject to the goods and current service arrangement. A smaller weight alone does not make PTL the better option: large, fragile or non-stackable pieces may need a different loading plan.
If the goods need to wait before the next delivery, include warehousing in the same brief. The written quote should separate the transport movement, storage period and receipt/release handling so you can compare the complete job.
The parts of a freight quotation.

Per kg, per tonne or per vehicle: compare like with like.
A rate without its charging basis can be misleading. For shared loads, ask whether the quotation uses actual weight, a chargeable weight, occupied space or a minimum consignment charge. For a dedicated vehicle, ask what route, body type and handling are included in the trip quotation.
Volumetric or chargeable-weight rules are not universal. Do not apply an air-courier formula to a road-freight quote without confirmation. Ask the booking team to state the formula, unit and minimum charge that apply to your consignment.
For example, ten packed cartons measuring 50 × 40 × 30 cm occupy 0.6 cubic metres before handling clearances. If each weighs 12 kg, the gross weight is 120 kg. Those measurements help explain the load; they do not determine a confirmed freight price. Use the cargo volume calculator for mixed package sizes.
The same two cities can produce different quotations.
A supplier pickup and a godown handover have different responsibilities. A city-centre delivery with limited truck access can also differ from delivery to an industrial receiving point. State the actual addresses, not only the city names, and explain whether another vehicle or a warehouse stop is required.
For Mumbai to Delhi transport, identify the Mumbai-region loading point and the Delhi consignee or agreed Mundka receiving point. For another state or city, use the India coverage directory and provide the same package and address details. A city enquiry does not reserve a truck or confirm a dispatch schedule.
A practical comparison before booking.
- Send the same package list, addresses and goods-ready date to each provider.
- Check that the proposed service and vehicle suit the load and receiving site.
- Separate freight, handling, storage, requested insurance and taxes.
- Record the expected dispatch/delivery window, extra-stop conditions and cancellation terms.
- Confirm the booking contact, payment instructions and delivery acknowledgement process before loading.

Can I get a truck freight price online?
You can prepare an enquiry on this website and choose email or WhatsApp to share it. The team reviews the load, route and date before confirming the written quote. The website does not automatically reserve a vehicle or generate a binding tariff.
Does the cargo calculator calculate transport charges?
No. It calculates packed volume, optional gross weight and product footprint using your inputs. Vehicle suitability, chargeable weight and freight are confirmed separately.
Is the lowest per-kg price always the cheapest shipment?
Compare the full quotation, including the applicable minimum, charging basis, pickup/delivery scope and handling. A low headline unit rate may cover a different service from another quotation.
Are loading and unloading included?
Only the agreed quotation establishes what is included. Give the labour and equipment requirements at both ends and request a written breakdown before booking.
