Warehouse charges. Plan the whole storage cycle.
A warehouse enquiry needs more than a square-foot figure. Explain what arrives, how it is packed, how long it stays and how often it leaves so storage and handling can be quoted clearly.
Goods storage and an empty godown rental are different requirements.
If you need a team to receive business goods, hold them and coordinate releases, describe a warehousing requirement. If you are seeking an empty building or a property lease that you operate yourself, say so explicitly; this website does not advertise a property listing or confirm a vacant godown for lease.
For temporary or longer-term business storage, give the expected arrival and release dates. If you need seasonal overflow space, provide the likely peak quantity as well as the opening stock. Acceptance, usable space and the operating arrangement are confirmed for the goods and location.
Understand the unit before comparing storage rates.
| Quotation item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Per square foot / area | Ask which area is billed, whether access and working space are included, and the minimum commitment. |
| Per cubic metre or cubic foot | Share packed dimensions and ask how volume is measured, rounded and billed over time. |
| Per pallet or package | Confirm the allowed dimensions, weight, stackability and what counts as one storage unit. |
| Daily or monthly period | Ask about the start/end date, minimum period, part-period billing and an extended stay. |
| Receipt and release handling | State inbound quantities, number of releases and loading equipment/labour requirements. |
| Transport and other work | Separate inbound/outbound freight, requested packing or stock-related work and applicable taxes. |
Package footprint is a starting point, not bookable warehouse space.
Product footprint and the usable facility layout are different. Ten cartons with a 50 × 40 cm base occupy 2 m² of product footprint in one layer. If the goods and stacking arrangement permit two layers, they occupy 1 m². Both exclude aisles, access, working space, equipment movement and other layout constraints.
Use the carton and pallet calculator to prepare your measurements. The local team confirms the storage arrangement; the calculation does not establish capacity, a racking configuration or a price. Mention items that cannot be stacked, mixed or exposed to ordinary storage conditions.
One stock arrival can lead to several handling charges.
Imagine 40 cartons arriving together and leaving in four releases of 10 cartons. The enquiry should describe the initial receipt, storage duration and all four planned releases, plus any transport required. Ask how each movement is charged rather than assuming a monthly storage amount includes every activity.
For staged deliveries, identify the stock owner, who can authorise release, the quantities and the receiving addresses. Ask how receipt counts, release records and discrepancies will be handled. Any specific inventory system, reporting format or special handling service must be agreed before booking.
Choose the right local contact.
These pages contain published local contact details. In Delhi, the Khari Baoli address is a third-floor booking office; use the Mundka godown contact for warehouse receiving enquiries. Confirm the actual unloading address and appointment before dispatch.
For another location, use our PAN-India warehouse enquiry planner. Nationwide coverage is not a statement that a verified branch address or particular facility specification exists in every town. Give the exact city and storage conditions so the team can confirm an arrangement.
Send a brief that can be quoted.
- City, intended start date and expected storage period.
- Goods description, packed dimensions, package count and gross weight.
- Stackability, access frequency and any special storage or handling conditions.
- Expected receipts, stock releases and the person who authorises them.
- Any pickup or onward transport, with complete addresses and dates.
Request the billing unit, minimum period, included work, additional handling and applicable taxes in writing. There is no fixed national warehouse tariff or confirmed capacity published on this page. The team assesses the specific stock and local arrangement before quoting.
Before you request a quotation.
What is the warehouse charge per square foot?
A current quotation depends on the location, goods, required arrangement, period and handling. Ask the team whether area, volume, pallet, package or another agreed basis is appropriate, and request the complete billing scope.
Can I store goods only until the buyer is ready?
Discuss temporary storage with the expected arrival and release window. Space, acceptance, minimum billing period and any extension are confirmed before receipt.
Does a storage quote include transport?
Transport is included only if the quotation says so. Provide pickup and delivery addresses and ask for storage, handling and road freight to be itemised.
Is cold storage or a bonded warehouse available?
Do not assume these specialist conditions from a general warehouse listing. State temperature, licensing or other facility requirements before booking and obtain confirmation of a suitable arrangement.
Ready to discuss your requirement?
Send the actual goods, location and dates. Our team will confirm availability, the agreed work and a current written quotation.
