Cartons and trade stock
Send carton counts and the packed dimensions of each size. Identify mixed product groups and any carton that must stay upright.
FAST INDIA / PAN-INDIA LOGISTICS
Discuss shared vehicle space for cartons, bales, pallets or other packed business goods. Send the cargo details and city pair so Fast India Transport can confirm PTL suitability and the available movement.
Part Truck Load (PTL), also called part-load transport, allows a smaller consignment to use space alongside other suitable goods. It can be useful when the shipment does not justify a dedicated vehicle and the packing, handling and dispatch arrangements fit a shared movement.
A PTL plan may involve consolidation or a handover between transport legs. Ask which pickup, handling and delivery arrangements apply before comparing it with a dedicated full truck load. Share a time-sensitive receiving requirement early so the team can assess an appropriate service.
Send carton counts and the packed dimensions of each size. Identify mixed product groups and any carton that must stay upright.
Describe the outer packing, weight per package and how packages can be handled. Confirm whether other goods can be placed above them.
Measure the complete packed unit including the pallet or crate. Note overhang, lifting access and whether it is stackable.
Actual weight is the mass of the goods and their packing. Cargo volume is the space described by the packed length, width and height. A lightweight carton can take more room than a compact heavy parcel, so a PTL enquiry needs both.
Carriers may use different charging units or volumetric rules. Ask which rule and minimum charge apply to the quoted service; do not assume that a generic courier divisor or a rate from another route applies. Our CBM and cargo footprint calculator supplies measurements for the enquiry and deliberately does not convert them into chargeable weight or a price.
Specify whether the request is for collection from your premises, an agreed godown drop-off or another handover. A city name alone does not establish door delivery. Supply the final postcode, receiving contact, unloading hours and vehicle access.
Have the goods packed and labelled. Agree the package count, readiness date, collection point and who provides loading assistance.
Ask about handling points, departure arrangements and how consignment references are used for updates. Do not treat an enquiry as a confirmed departure.
Confirm whether delivery ends at a godown or the consignee's address. Agree unloading, package checks and the acknowledgement process.
Use the published branch contacts to confirm goods receipt. Our Old Delhi booking office and Mundka godown are different locations; check the address assigned to your consignment before dispatch.
| Question | Information to record |
|---|---|
| How is the freight assessed? | The charging unit, measured weight or volume, minimum charge and accepted package count. |
| What locations are covered? | Collection and final delivery addresses, or the exact godown handover points. |
| What is separate? | Loading, unloading, packing, storage, requested insurance, additional stops and applicable taxes. |
| What is the agreed timing? | Goods-ready date, expected dispatch, receiving arrangements and how changes will be communicated. |
A published rate for another consignment is not a confirmed quotation for your goods. Request a written breakdown for the actual city pair, packing and booking date.
If stock needs to wait before its next movement, discuss temporary storage or warehousing and dispatch. Tell the team which goods should be grouped together and the quantities for each receiving point. The storage address, acceptance and charges are confirmed separately.
Acceptance and any minimum charge depend on the goods, route and current service arrangement. Share your actual package count, dimensions and weight for confirmation.
Confirm the quoted delivery point explicitly. Ask whether it is the consignee's address, a godown handover or another agreed receiving location, and whether local delivery is separately charged.
Describe the goods, packing and stacking restrictions first. The team must confirm suitable handling and acceptance; a shared-space enquiry alone does not establish suitability.
Share the pickup and receiving points, packed goods and preferred date. Our team will confirm the service, availability and written quotation.
